Mahesh Tahilyani (Director)
Mahesh Tahilyani is a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary and an Information System Analyst from India and a Cost and Management Accountant from UK, CIMA. He is with SP group as a Group Financial Controller since 2 years and has been involved in various areas like Financial Performance management, Investment Management, Capital Allocation in addition to looking at business controls, Acquisition (Incl. due diligences) and restructuring. Prior to this, he has total experience of around 22 years with a leading multinational organization in areas of Finance and Control, Budgeting, Commercial, Governance, Internal Audit Risk Management, Business process reengineering and Corporate Planning.
Shankar Krishnan (Director)
Shankar Krishnan is Group Head – Strategy of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group. Shankar joined the SP Group in October 2009. He is responsible for driving the Group’s strategic growth agenda, for which he works in close coordination with the Promoter, his peers in the Group Centre, and the leadership teams of the Group’s diverse businesses. Shankar also serves on the Boards and Management Boards of select companies and business divisions of the SP Group, including that of Eureka Forbes Ltd. Shankar graduated with a B.E (Honors) in Civil Engineering from VJTI (Mumbai University) and was a recipient of the JN Tata Endowment scholarship. He worked for a year with Tata Consulting Engineers, an engineering consultancy, upon completing his engineering. He then obtained an MBA at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), majoring in Business Policy and Finance. Prior to joining the SP Group, Shankar worked for 15+ years in the management consulting practice of Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting).
Hoshang Billimoria (Mentor & Special Advisor)
A Chartered Accountant from England & Wales by qualification, Mr. Hoshang Billimoria has over 20 years of experience in the publishing & printing industry. He was responsible for starting the directories & magazine publishing business at Tata Infomedia, where he was instrumental in transforming it from a loss making printing company to a successful publishing company. During his stint with Tata Infomedia, the company reported 14 successive years of increased profitability and turnover without a break, one of only 7 Indian companies to have managed this feat. During his tenure, several special interest magazines in the B2B and B2C space were launched. Also, the Tata Press Yellow Pages directories were introduced in 12 cities and went on to become a huge success. Prior to his stint with the Tatas, Hoshang was a partner in S B Billimoria & Company (a professional accounting firm). He started his articles with Whinney Murray & Co (now E&Y) in London, UK and worked with them for five years before returning to India. He also serves/has served as non-executive/ independent director on several companies including Thomas Cook India, HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd., Fenner Conveyor Belting Ltd, etc. He is also the past President of the Council for Fair Business Practices.
